Melinda qualified in 1987 in General Nursing and Midwifery and specialised in Trauma and Emergency Nursing. She has worked in Emergency Centres in South Africa, a Medical Outpatient Clinic in the UAE, and various General Practices around Queensland before joining Hawthorne Clinic in 2010.

Melinda enjoys the continuity of care that general practice offers the patients, as well as the diversity of patient demographics, ranging from young families to the long-standing patients of the practice.
