Comprehensive Care
Across all Needs

We provide a broad range of general practice services tailored to meet the needs of every family member.

Family Medicine

The experienced doctors at Hawthorne Clinic take pride in having multiple generations of the one family attending our practice and aim to tailor your healthcare to suit the varied and individual needs of your entire family.

Women’s Health

All doctors at Hawthorne Clinic are experienced in Women’s Health, however, there are several practitioners with a particular interest and additional training in this area. We offer a well woman check and encourage regular screening with cervical screening and breast checks. We have practitioners skilled in Implanon and IUD insertion (including Mirena and Kyleena). We can provide advice regarding contraception, sexual health, perimenopause and menopause, sexual dysfunction and bleeding issues. We provide pre conception advice, antenatal care and post natal care. We promote cervical cancer vaccination to all women under 45 years. Select doctors are available to discuss MTOP. Consultations are conducted in a sensitive manner and chaperones are available on request.

Men’s Health

The doctors at Hawthorne Clinic appreciate that Men’s Health is an important and often overlooked aspect of General Practice. We offer a well man check and encourage regular health screening.

We can provide advice regarding prostate health, sexual health, urinary issues, sexual dysfunction and mental health.

Children’s Health

Children have a variety of health needs and generate issues that span physical, developmental and psychosocial aspects. Hawthorne Clinic provides paediatric care encompassing routine checkups and vaccinations, acute care and management of chronic conditions. At appointments for scheduled vaccinations your child will be assessed for their growth, development and physical health. Following removal of the 4 year old check by Medicare we can offer a privately billed comprehensive 4 year old check with an assessment by both the doctor and nurse.

Most of the doctors and staff at Hawthorne Clinic are parents and can add a personal touch to the medical care of your child. We realise the stress and anxiety created by a sick child and aim to offer the earliest possible appointment for a genuinely unwell child. Our nurses can offer phone advice regarding your child if you are unsure of whether you do need to see a doctor.

Immunisations

The doctors and nurses at Hawthorne Clinic are staunch advocates of vaccination. We offer scheduled booster, seasonal and travel vaccinations. We also offer catch-up immunisations for patients that have missed school-based vaccinations or have moved from abroad.
