Dr Yasu Takao graduated in 2008 from The University of Sydney Medical School. He initially worked at St George Hospital, Sydney and has worked in various hospitals in New South Wales. He completed his general practice training in Sydney and Tamworth prior to moving to Brisbane. 

Yasu enjoys all aspects of general practice with a special interest in men’s health, preventative medicine, travel medicine and chronic disease management.

Yasu completed a Diploma in Child Health (DCH). He also completed Master of Public Health. He has interest in non-communicable disease prevention such as diabetes and obesity. He is also a member of the Australasian College of Tropical Medicine.

Yasu grew up in Japan, Switzerland, USA and Singapore. He is fluent in English and Japanese.
