Dr Carmen Main graduated in 2003 from the University of Queensland. Prior to her medical degree she obtained an Honours Degree from UQ in Science, with a special interest in Microbiology. Carmen worked at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and the Royal Children’s Hospital before completing her GP fellowship in 2010. Carmen has a special interest in women’s health and wellbeing. Passionate about delivering whole-person, evidence-based care, she believes that every patient deserves to feel heard, supported and empowered to take charge of their health. With a strong focus on prevention, she encourages patients to invest in their health early, recognising that the foundations for healthy ageing are built across every stage of life. Her approach goes beyond treating symptoms, considering the physical, emotional and lifestyle factors that influence a person’s overall wellbeing.
